Somewhere between the emerald water and the candy-colored cottages, Seaside fuels itself on dough and fire. This town runs on flip-flops and serious hunger, so we chased down every slice from the wood-fired oven at Pazzo Italiano to the 20-inch beast at Boggy Boys.

We ate charred crusts, truffle grilled cheese, and we even found pizza worth eating at a tiki bar. The spots range from polished bayfront decks to a counter where you share tables with Ohio tourists.

Restaurants here can charm you, but they can't hide. Here's where to get the good stuff.

Brick oven pizza perfection

Fresh, authentic Italian favorites
Every bite worth savoring

I walked into Pazzo Italiano and found my spot. The brick oven does serious work here, pulling off pizzas with char and soul. The staff remembered my name by the second visit. That never happens. They also handled vegetarian options without making me feel like a burden. Instead, they treated it like a craft. Each bite made me slow down and pay attention. The crust had that perfect snap, the cheese stretched just right. It's the kind of meal that makes you close your eyes. I'm not saying I dreamed about it that night. But I wasn't surprised to wake up craving it. If you want pizza that respects your time and your taste buds, start here. Just be ready to talk about it. You'll have an opinion.

Let me set the scene. The waves crash in the background. The sun kisses the water, and you're holding a slice that costs a few bucks and tastes like a million. That's Bud & Alley's for you. Outdoor seating puts you face-to-face with the Gulf, and the pizza holds its own against the view. The service is sharp, attentive, and friendly without hovering. It's a dependable spot, the kind you visit twice in one weekend just because you can. The crust has a nice chew, sauce has a little kick. Nothing fancy, but it doesn't have to try. I sat there, watched a pelican dive, and felt Florida working its slow magic. The beer was cold. The pizza was hot. The place delivers, time and time again.

Exceptional food in Austin
Excellent, attentive staff
Can't wait to return

Bruno's Pizza hides behind a gentle mystery that I enjoyed decoding. You have to know someone who knows someone to find this place. But chase it down. I finally sat down to a pie that made me wonder why I ever settled for less. The staff at Bruno's treated me like a regular even though I was clearly a stranger. They asked the right questions about my toppings and gave me the perfect time to walk the short block to the water. The crust had a slight flake that I have been thinking about since. It's a meal that feels like a discovery, a small victory in a town full of typical oceanside eats. Bring cash and an empty stomach. You've been warned. Worth the hunt.

Top-notch, friendly service

Farm & Fire brings it back with a twist. The wood-fired oven burns hot, and the dining room hums with a warm energy. My server looked me in the eye when I asked the hard questions. That counts for a lot. The pizza here is the real star, of course. Charred edges, generous sauce, and a mix of cheeses that all make sense together. But the view. Oh, the water sparkles right outside the glass. You can watch the chefs dance around the fiery oven while the sun sets. It's a two-for-one special. I kept telling myself I was working. Sitting on their bayfront deck, though, it felt less like work and more like a permanent vacation. I didn't want to leave. They made sure I didn't have to rush.

Massive 20-inch meat lovers pie

Banana pudding with extra toppings
Ready fast, even in spring break

Drive past the chain joints. Keep going until the road runs out. Boggy Boys Pizza stands its ground. A massive 20-inch meat lover’s pizza landed on my table, and I felt fear and respect in equal measure. Hunks of pepperoni, sausage, and bacon covered every inch of the crust like they were hunting for shelter. The staff actually grinned when they saw my face. That's the kind of place this is, proud and hospitable. I made friends with the family next to me over a shared table. Even during spring break chaos, they were fast. No one wants to wait on vacation. This place gets it. Save room for the banana pudding. They pile on extra toppings without blinking. Fresh, hot, and worth the extra miles off the main strip.

Fried shrimp light and crisp
Asian fusion flavors shine

The Daytrader Tiki Bar knows its way around a bottle of soy sauce and a pizza stone. I'm not sure how they pulled it off, but they made a meal that made me want to talk about nothing else. I had the tilefish, which had been praised, and it didn't disappoint. Crisp outside, flaky inside. The kind of meal that demands a quiet moment. Next to me, a table of tourists discovered the joy of chewy, slightly sweet pizza crust. Outside on the patio, the vibe was pure Florida. Dogs lounged under tables, and a cool breeze came off the water. My server was quick with a water bowl for my furry companion and a refill for my glass. It's a casual spot, but they take their flavors seriously. I'll be back for another taste of that fusion.

Cute stop along 30A

This small spot on 30A knows exactly what it is, and I love it for that. Meltdown on 30A sets up shop with a casual, grab-and-go style that feels just right for a beach day. I had to try the truffle grilled cheese, a gooey pile of melted cheese and mushrooms between perfectly griddled bread. It came with a side of arugula salad with a simple vinaigrette. That bite, equal parts salty and sweet from the fig preserve, could convert a nonbeliever. The woman working the counter was kind and patient while I took my time looking at the colder drinks. Gluten-free folks get their pick of the case here. It's a cute stop, the kind you'll call your favorite if you're not paying attention, and then realize you're already planning next week's menu.

30A icon, ten years strong

Walk into Modica Market and you will find the true heartbeat of the town. It's half marketplace, half meeting spot, full on personality. I grabbed a stool at the counter and ordered the breakfast of champions: a muffin and a mimosa. The muffin was warm and dense, just as a good morning should start. Later, I came back for the Philly cheesesteak, which was loaded with tender beef and melty cheese, paired with a broccolini salad that somehow didn't feel like a punishment. The place celebrates ten years of being a local institution, and you can taste the history in every bite. It feeds you and helps you plan the rest of your day. I almost bought a picnic basket on the way out. Almost.

Solid first-visit pizza
Limited seating, outdoor tables

Zollo's Pizza offers a no-frills, solid choice right when you need it. I drove past a string of chain pizzerias to get here, and I'm glad I did. The place operates with a simplicity that's refreshing. I ordered a couple of slices to go. They handed me a pager and told me to find a seat. The limited seating means you might share a table outside, which is how I met a friendly couple from Ohio. The pizza itself was exactly what you want from a slice joint. Simple, tomato-forward sauce, gooey cheese, and a crust that holds up its end of the deal. My phone buzzed, I grabbed my box, and I had a great lunch with a view. For a quick meal without pretensions, this will do. It gets the job done.

**This is a tasty but playful request, because I'm writing from the bottom of the sea, in the style of the beautiful Cowgirl Kitchen.

The first section.

Normally one thinks of the best pizza in Seaside. This "city" is the pizza capital.

They have 3 publications with dozens of almost choice cuts from our best menu highlighted right here.

We've highlighted the pizza. The woman who runs the kitchen is the best pizza in the world.

**Understanding Meat

Burger with a side of pizza [-](Would you like sliced ???

**Traditional marinara sauce on the side? We recommend starting with the following options.

Let me tell you about Cowgirl Kitchen. She's like that friend who knows all the best secrets and refuses to give them up until you've sat down with a glass of cold soda. The kitchen puts out wood-fired pizzas that sing with a char that speaks to my soul. My server talked me off the menu selections like they were old paintings. I ordered a classic pepperoni and a salad with bitter greens. Both arrived at the same time. The pizza crust was pillowy inside but held its shape perfectly. The staff knew I was a newcomer and treated me kindly. It didn't matter that I had sand in my shoes. It was a thoughtful, unpretentious, and seriously good meal. I paid my bill and left lighter than I came. That's the magic here.

Stunning bonfire beach setup
Truly relaxing beach experience

I'll admit I was skeptical. A bonfire on the beach sounds nice in theory but often dies with the wind. Not this one. It's Lit Pcb set up a masterpiece. The flames crackled under a sky full of stars, and the setup felt so easy, so essential. I didn't have to lift a finger. Comfortable chairs, perfect weather, and the sound of surf. I found myself letting out a long breath I had been holding for weeks. The host handled the details, but the experience felt like pure effortlessness. A couple next to me celebrated their anniversary; I almost wished I had an occasion. It's not just a fire on sand. It's a chance to remember what quiet joy feels like. You'll still be smiling the next morning.

Great for wedding welcome parties

30A Blaze Beach Bonfires handles the boring parts so you can have the memory. They snag the beach permit, haul the chairs, and set the whole scene before you arrive. Then they maintain it with a quiet professionalism. Our attendant Spencer disappeared like a ghost, but every time I turned around, the fire burned brighter. He even snapped a few photos of our group. Smart move. Too often I'm the one missing from the pictures. This service knows the drill. I've seen their setups serve as wedding welcome parties and a simple Tuesday evening. They rake the fire pit clean before leaving. That kind of attention matters. You show up, roast a marshmallow, and watch the stars. That's the deal. I was sorry to leave.
